Aleph-Bet - Rubs (Unlimited Edition)

1997, The rubs come in two sizes, 25" by 33", and 11" by 14".
In creating my bronze cast sculpture "The World is Founded on the Alef-Bet," I was thinking about the first appearance of the Ten Commandments, with the letters being chiseled into stone. When giving the sculpture depth and volume, I knew that this piece would give birth to many more ideas. My "rubs" are the children of this three-dimensional sculpture. While creating them, I challenge myself by making each one different and unique. As long as each one is new and different from the others, the series will keep evolving, and will keep revealing the exciting possibilities that the letters inspire.
