9-11

My old shop and artist studio was located in Brooklyn. The twin towers cast a shadow on my street. 9-11 led me to participate in the proposal for the WTC memorial, and I began the yearly tradition of outlining in paint the now-missing shadow of the buildings on my Williamsburg street (Richardson on the corner of Lorimer). I have encouraged local neighborhood residents and children to participate with me in this memorial every year. I would like to see these paint outlines on every street where the twin towers threw their shadow before they collapsed. This would be a lovely memorial, which from an aerial view would show all the shadows emanating from ground zero.
